In 2004 APS Vision decide to bring its considerable experience in nuclear inspection and advanced image processing to the field of CCTV systems.  From the outset we decided to develop systems where image quality is paramount. Too many existing systems deliver substandard images of no practical use for investigative or legal use.

High Quality Digital Video Recorder (HQ-DVR)

The HQ-DVR is an easy to use standalone digital video recorder.  What differentiates it from other seemingly similar products is its high framerate (more than 6fps per input with all inputs active) and extremely high quality image capture.

This has been achieved by using the very best technology for video capture and compression.  Where most existing systems cut corners we have designed without compromise.  Video capture is full frame not just one field.  After all, if you have spent good money buying the best cameras it is a shame to throw away half the information before you have even captured the image.  To further protect the integrity of the images, we do not compress them by ridiculous amounts using noisy CODECs.  The HQ-DVR uses industry leading JPEG2000 image compression to achieve small file sizes without throwing away your valuable resolution.

Digital Video Storage System (DVSS)

 

The DVSS system is designed for large scale CCTV installations such as city centres, airports, and large offices.  It is fully scalable with no upper limit imposed on the number of cameras, the number of simultaneous users or the maximum amount of storage.

Like the HQ-DVR, it is designed without compromise to deliver the ultimate in image quality.  Images are captured at full PAL resolution and then compressed using advanced JPEG2000 technology.  With the DVSS you can be sure that the quality of you camera images will be retained.

Forensic Video Inspection System

Sometimes you have an image of an incident and you just can’t make out what is happening.  This might be due to poor quality cameras or video storage, or it might just be bad luck as an object is too far away to be seen easily.

Our inspection system provides a range of sophisticated image processing algorithms to assist with difficult investigation tasks such as identifying an individual or reading a vehicle number plate.  Features include:
